Basses:

I currently play Warwick Streamer Stage 1 basses, 6 and 5 string models, with wide string spacing, both fretless and fretted. A special "thank you" note to Dana B. Goods, and Michael Brown at Warwick USA for hooking me up with these wonderful instruments. I was really happy to play the Warwick basses on "Living La Vida Loca", "Sound Loaded", and "Almas de Silencio" tours with Ricky Martin. I also played on many records using Warwick basses. Absolutely wonderful sound, very stable, and present, cuts through the mix extremely good.

I also play an old Pepe Fabregues bass 5 string model. Pure swamp ash body, and maple neck, with bartolinis, old skool baby. That's one of the first (and best, in my opinion) basses he made. I somehow managed to resist his offers of upgrading the electronics, and the neck to the ones. I love its sound, vintage, fat, round, Marcus Miller kind of vibe.

Godin Acoustic Bass Guitar (A4), 4 string fretless bass I have is one of my favorites. Huge sound when amplified, very suitable for latin bass lines. I think it's also an attractive alternative to an upright bass for jazz work.

Yamaha TRB-6P 6 string bass (neck through) is the oldest tool in my arsenal. If this bass could only talk, oh man. I upgraded it with EMG DC pickups and EMG electronics.

Strings:

I use DR Strings exclusively on all my basses except Godin (which require flawounds). These are the best strings out there, hands down. I use Hi-Beams 30-130 gauges, and Sunbeams on Warwick fretless. A very big thanx to Mr. Anthony Corona, and all my friends at DR Strings, you guys make the world a better place.

Electronics:

SWR Basic 350 amp, and Goliath Junior 2x10"+tweeter for small jobs, or Goliath II 4x10"+tweeter for that extra push. I'm really not much into effects, but I do use Boss GT-6B FX pedalboard live. For studio work it's just a good preamp, and my basses.
